What to Expect:
As usual, you can expect great presentations, networking time and a lot of fun. These conferences bring together the best and brightest in the OHV community – including enthusiasts and land managers – and provide the perfect opportunity to gain and share insights on issues, hurdles and successes that have occurred since we last met in-person in Reno. For any who may attend for the first time, expect to learn a lot, meet a ton of great people, and to share your insights as well.
NOHVCC’s annual Mobile Workshop will be held on August 18 this year at the Windrock Recreation Area. Participants will take part in a management tour of the area including moderated discussion on successful management practices and sustainable trail development. ROVs will be on hand for participants to operate.
Important Safety Information for Mobile Workshop Participants
As with any NOHVCC event that includes operating or riding as a passenger on or in an OHV, all participants must follow NOHVCC’s safety ethic. This means anyone who operates a dirt bike, ATV or ROV, or who rides as a passenger in an ROV, MUST wear all appropriate safety gear. For all vehicles this includes a DOT-compliant helmet, eye protection, long sleeve shirt or jersey, long pants, over-the-ankle boots, and gloves. All gear must be worn at all times while operating any of these vehicles – including while loading and unloading.
Anyone not wearing all appropriate safety gear will be prohibited from participating in the ride. NOHVCC will have a few loaner helmets, goggles and gloves; however, everyone is encouraged to bring their own gear. Loaner gear will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. There will NOT be enough for everyone.
The NOHVCC Board of Directors and staff is excited about what we have planned and look forward to seeing you in Knoxville!
