The National Off-Highway Vehicle Conservation Council will soon have a familiar face at the helm. The NOHVCC Board of Directors has selected long-time Project Manager/Program Director Marc Hildesheim as the next Executive Director of the organization. “I’m very excited to lead NOHVCC on the next leg of its journey and can’t wait to see what NOHVCC staff, the Board of Directors, and our partners can achieve,” said Hildesheim.

Marc and his family have a long history in OHV recreation starting with the Brush Bunch Motorcycle Club, of which Marc’s grandfather was a founding member in 1970. Marc is now a 3rd generation club member with his brother and father. Professionally, Hildesheim began working on trails as a seasonal Trail Ranger for the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation and later as a full-time staff member as a Trails Specialist. Marc later moved to New Mexico to work for the State OHV Program first as the OHV Education Coordinator and then as the OHV Program Manager.  “The NOHVCC Board of Directors are elated that Marc Hildesheim has accepted the NOHVCC Executive Director position.  Marc has been a champion with his great work in the OHV community for over 20 years.  And the Hildesheim family are a perfect example of what our great sport is all about. NOHVCC’s mission of ” Creating a Positive Future for Off-Highway Vehicle Recreation ” is looking very strong.”  Said Dan Kleen, President of the Board of Directors.

“Over the past decade, BLM has partnered with NOHVCC to implement our National Motorized Recreation Action Plan. Marc has been an integral part of conducting the listening sessions, developing subsequent reports, and drafting action plans for 8 different states in the west. We are pleased to know that BLM and NOHVCC will continue our strong partnership now, and for many years to come.” – Brad Colin, BLM National Motorized Recreation Subject Matter Expert.

Canadian Quad Council President Rick Noseworthy sends congratulations to both Marc for his appointment and NOHVCC for their choice. Rick is looking forward to continuing and strengthening the international relationship between the two organizations under Marc’s leadership.

“I’m really happy to see Marc in the Executive Director’s position at NOHVCC. He has a fantastic understanding of OHV recreation and advocacy because he’s a life-long rider and advocate. He has the skills and knowledge to move NOHVCC forward in achieving its mission.” said former Executive Director, Russ Ehnes.

Hildesheim joined NOHVCC’s staff in 2015 first serving as a Project Manager and then as the Program Director; a role he served in until 2023. Marc currently resides in Post Falls, ID with his wife, three kids, and two Australian Shepherds where he rides dirt bikes whenever life will let him. Marc will officially start as the Director on June 5th.
