Every year at the NOHVCC Conference one important piece of business is to hold elections for the NOHVCC Board of Directors. This year we will be holding elections for Treasurer, Youth and Education Issue Area Representative, Clubs and Associations Issue Area Representative, Network Development Team Lead, and two “At Large” board members.
In 2023 in preparation for the board elections we interviewed members of our board to find out what it is like to be a board member and what some of the responsibilities are. We would like to revisit that piece (here) to give you a picture of what life as a NOHVCC board member entails.
To be eligible for a board position you must be a NOHVCC State Partner in good standing. To serve as an executive member of the board (Treasurer) you must have already served at least one year on the NOHVCC board. Board members serve a two-year term, and elections are staggered so not every board member is up for election at the same time.
If you have any questions about serving as a Board member, please reach out to [email protected] and either a NOHVCC staff member or current Board member will be back with you shortly. Our NOHVCC State Partners, bring a lot of talent and knowledge to the table and we can not wait to see what outstanding applicants we get for the next term.
