FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The National Off Highway Vehicle Conservation Council (NOHVCC) recognized as the global leader in off highway vehicle recreation, is thrilled to announce that Dan Kleen has been appointed the new Chairman of the Board of Directors. As a former chair, Mr. Kleen has played an instrumental role in driving the organization’s success and reputation. With his leadership, NOHVCC will continue to build on its strong foundation, offering numerous workshops, listening sessions, webinars, educational materials, and a wide range of tools to empower OHV enthusiasts and clubs to thrive while preserving the environment. Kleen will serve as the Board President until our regular elections are held at our annual conference in October 2023.
The NOHVCC Board of Directors would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere thanks to Barrett Brown, former chair, under whose leadership many of our long-term visions and goals were finalized. We appreciate Mr. Brown’s dedication and his leadership of the Board.
After years of dedicated service, Duane Taylor, our executive director, will be stepping down from his role, effective May 5, 2023, to pursue other professional and personal interests. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to Mr. Taylor for his leadership, which has propelled the NOHVCC into a stronger, more professional organization. Over the next few months, the Board of Directors will focus on identifying the best individual to execute our planned development and organizational vision while continuing the important work of “creating a positive future for off highway vehicle recreation.”
The Board of Directors and the entire NOHVCC family are eager to build upon our sound and successful foundation. “Our current Board is the strongest and most dedicated group that NOHVCC has seen in a long time,” said Mr. Kleen.
Paul Slavik, a Past Advisor to NOHVCC and current President of California Outdoor Recreation Foundation said: “In 1990 as an employee of American Honda Motor Company, I was given the task of finding people who would be interested in having a more unified voice for off-highway vehicle recreation. That search turned up a small group of individuals that wanted to make a difference and the National Off Highway Vehicle Conservation Council was born. NOHVCC has evolved into the most respected off-highway vehicle recreation focused organization in America thanks to the support of the Power Sports Industry and commitment and leadership of it’s partners and staff. OHV recreation has come a long way since the 90s and I’m confident that its future is even brighter.”
Canadian Quad Council General Manager, Wayne Daub said, he appreciates the long-time cross border partnership that this organization has enjoyed with NOHVCC. Mr. Daub would like to take the opportunity to wish both Mr. Barrett and Mr. Taylor all the best in their future endeavors while at the same time is looking forward to seeing what is next for NOHVCC under Dan’s strong leadership.
We wish to assure all our stakeholders and partners that we are committed to making this transition process as seamless as possible. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact NOHVCC at [email protected]. NOHVCC is looking forward to an exciting future, and we invite you to join us on the journey.
