Please see the below press release from Can-Am recognizing October 8 as “International Off-Road Day.”  Can-Am encourages any OHV enthusiasts who hits the trails on Friday to take pictures and share them on social media using the hashtag #InternationalOffRoadDay.  NOHVCC urges everyone in the OHV community to participate if you can.  Please keep in mind that the best way to enjoy OHV recreation is to practice safe and responsible use.  NOHVCC’s ethic includes, wearing all appropriate safety gear on ALL rides (for ATVs, ROVS and dirt bikes this includes: a DOT-compliant helmet, goggles, long sleeves, long pants, over-the-ankle boots, and gloves); staying on trails, routes and areas designated for OHV use; never operating an OHV under the influence of drugs or alcohol; and avoiding on-highway use of vehicles designed solely for off-highway use.

VALCOURT, QUEBEC, CANADA – September 28, 2021 – It’s official! October 8 will now be known as “International Off-Road Day” presented by Can-Am. For all of you off-roaders out there around the world, this is a day to celebrate the places we go, the fun we have, the work we get done, the memories we make, and the incredible vehicles that make all of it possible. This isn’t about one vehicle or one trail, this is about everyone in the global off-road community coming together and celebrating all that is Off-Road Livin’.

“International Off-Road Day is for everyone across the five continents who, like us, has off-roading in their DNA,” said Julie Tourville, Director Global Marketing, Can-Am Off-Road at BRP. “Let’s come together and celebrate the lifestyle and the off-road experiences that make us happy. It doesn’t matter what vehicle you drive – just get out and ride, and be thankful for the land, the trails, the fun, and of course, the vehicles that get the job done in some of the harshest conditions out there.”

To celebrate the inaugural International Off-Road Day, a team of Can-Am Off-Road ambassadors that includes professional racers like Ken Block, Dustin Jones, and Cory Weller, along with celebrities like Cowboy Cerrone, will take part in rides around the world. Can-Am is encouraging others to do the same. Find some friends or family or jump in solo. It doesn’t matter where you ride, just go somewhere awesome, pause, and appreciate all the fun we get to have. And of course, continue to be great stewards of the land along the way.

As part of the festivities, Can-Am will have a presence at Sand Hollow Trail Hero in Hurricane, Utah with brand Ambassadors and other fun activities. The event aims to encourage communities to come together and build awareness around access to trails and off-roading, which is in the same spirit as International Off-Road Day.

No matter where you ride on International Off-Road Day, please share your passion on social media by using #InternationalOffRoadDay. And if you’re a Can-Am Owner, you can also include our special hashtag #CanAmOffRoadLivin.
