The National Off-Highway Vehicle Conservation Council (NOHVCC) today announced that Geoff Chain has been hired as Project Coordinator and Communications Associate.
Chain said, “I’m excited to have the opportunity to work for NOHVCC and utilize my experience and passion for OHV’s to promote positive OHV recreation. Being able to do what I love for a job is a dream come true. I can’t wait to start working with the team, agencies, and OHV enthusiasts across the Country!”
Chain graduated from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelor of Science in Geographic Information Sciences in 2012. Since graduation, he has worked for the U.S. Geological Survey and Northern Arizona University as a Research Specialist and consulted for Great Outdoors Consultants as a GIS and OHV Specialist. Boasting an extensive background in trail design, analysis, construction, and maintenance, Chain has experience leading crews of volunteers during trail projects in cooperation with personnel from the U.S. Forest Service. Personally, Chain is a diehard OHV enthusiast, and has experience operating dirt-bikes, ATVs, ROVs, 4×4 vehicles, and competes in motorcycle trials and enduro competitions.
NOHVCC’s Executive Director, Duane Taylor said, “we are thrilled that Geoff has joined NOHVCC’s great team. He has the background and experience we were looking for, and we can’t wait to work with him to fulfill NOHVCC’s mission of ‘Creating a Positive Future for Responsible OHV Recreation.’”
NOHVCC is a not-for-profit educational organization that promotes the safe and responsible use of OHVs, including ATVs, ROVs, dirt bikes and 4WD trucks. Using a network of State Partners, it develops and provides a wide spectrum of programs, materials and information, or “tools,” to OHV clubs, associations, agencies and individuals across the U.S. and Canada. It also works in partnership with the International Off-Highway Vehicle Administrators Association (INOHVAA), an organization of officials at all levels of government who manage OHV recreation in their areas, which holds its annual conference jointly with NOHVCC.
NOHVCC and its State Partners work hard to meet its mission to “Create a Positive Future for OHV Recreation.” For more information, visit www.nohvcc.org.
