2017 COHVCO Great Trails Training Workshops

The Colorado Off-Highway Vehicle Coalition (COHVCO), in conjunction with National Off-Highway Vehicle Conservation Council (NOHVCC), Colorado State Parks and Wildlife, the US Forest Service, the US Bureau of Land Management (BLM), will be holding two three day workshops in 2017. The first workshop will be in Grand Junction Colorado, May 5-7, with the second workshop in Castle Rock following shortly after.

Register for the training now using TicketLeap.  The cost of registration is $75 for the full training including lunches and breaks. Late registrations costs will increase to $85 for the full training starting April 29th. Each participant is responsible for making their own room reservations by April 13th for a discounted rate. The training will kick off with a classroom session on May 5th at the Double Tree Grand Junction. Classroom session will begin at 8:00am.

 

A block of rooms for workshop participants has been reserved for workshop participants at the Double Tree in Grand Junction. Please call 970-241-8888, and state you are with COHVCO to make a reservation. All reservations must be made by 4/13/17.

 

Field sessions on May 6th and 7th will be held at the Bangs and Rabbit Valley OHV Areas managed by the BLM Grand Junction Field Office. Directions will be given at the end of the classroom session

 

Training Details:

 

The 3-day workshop will consist of classroom sessions on May 5, at the Double Tree Grand Junction and field sessions on May 6-7, at the Bangs and Rabbit Valley OHV Areas managed by the BLM Grand Junction Field Office. Field sessions will involve walking to various sites on the trail system so bring your best hiking shoes, appropriate clothing, and drinking water.

 

All Training participants are responsible for providing their own transportation between their lodging and the training locations. Transport between field session locations will require the use of an off-highway vehicle. Please let us know if you will not be able to provide your own OHV and we will do our best to accommodate you. Every person riding on an OHV will be required to wear proper safety gear including helmet, gloves, goggles, long sleeve shirt, long pants, and over the ankle boots. Any safety equipment required by your employer's OHV safety policy must also be worn.

We are requesting that each individual call in to reserve their room by calling Group Reservations Department at 1-866-527-1498 and identify themselves as members of the NOHVCC Great Trails Work Shop, Reservation Block confirmation number 6619142. All reservations must be made by 6/22/17.
