2017 Annual NOHVCC and INOHVAA Joint Conference - August 22 - 27
Although it feels like we just finished the 2016 conference, NOHVCC has already turned our attention to the 2017 conference. We are busy thinking of some creative twists for the conference. And, of course, the mobile workshop opportunities are plentiful. The conference topics will be informative and fun. The INOHVAA annual meeting and round table will again take place. Our main goal: to make this the best conference yet and a "can't miss" opportunity for you.
Below is some information that we currently know about this year's conference:
The Theme for the conference is Forward Momentum. Together, we have achieved successes over the past couple of decades. We want to keep the progress going forward and position ourselves for even more success in the future.
Russ Ehnes is saying goodbye as NOHVCC Executive Director. Fortunately, or unfortunately for him, we had already assigned some duties for this year's conference to him before he announced his resignation. We will bring him to this conference and put him to work, at least part-time, for this conference.
We will have a new Executive Director to introduce, or re-introduce with a new title. Since we have no idea who that will be at this time, we can't say anything more about this right now.
The mobile workshop will be at the Hopkinton-Everett Trails Area. This area is part of an Army Corps of Engineers flood control program area. This will be the first time the mobile workshop is on Army Corps of Engineer property.
We have a planning team in the northeast that is actively looking for ways to make this a great conference and who are looking to welcome you to their States.
